Fort Worth Man Says 'I Do' From Hosptial Bed
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
In a hospital room at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth close friends and family gather at John Milhone's bedside. The 71-year-old is in frail condition. His health is deteriorating from a tough bout of prostate cancer that has quickly infiltrated his colon and bladder, along with other ailments.
But on this day, the mode is jovial, sentimental, and even nostalgic. Today John Milhone is a groom; his bride-to-be is a familiar face from his past, his ex-wife Kathy. The Milhones were married for over 30 years, they divorced nine years ago but are now once again vowing their love and devotion.
The bride donned a rather non traditional white gown of the hospital variety. With Bridesmaids and their some by their side the vows were exchanged, perhaps more meaningful for this couple the second time around. John's thoughts on the day and his current situation put it best. "Now's not the time to quit."
